FIBA EuroBasket 2025

Innovative Printed Court Design

When FIBA EuroBasket 2025 tipped off across Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia, the spotlight was not only on Europe’s top 24 basketball nations, but also on the floor beneath their feet. As Official Technical Supplier to FIBA, Junckers debuted a groundbreaking printed sports floor that transformed the courts into vibrant storytelling surfaces, seamlessly merging performance with design.

Traditionally, basketball courts had been limited to manually painted graphics, restricting designs to simple colors and shapes. For EuroBasket 2025, Junckers introduced an advanced print technology that made it possible to apply layered effects such as gradients, 3D illusions, shadows, and transparency. This innovation gave organizers the freedom to fully express the tournament’s visual identity; bold, architectural graphics under the slogan “Make Your Mark.” Each host city had its own distinct color combination, and the courts became visual extensions of the branding, reinforcing the atmosphere inside every arena.

The printed flooring system was installed at venues in Limassol, Tampere, Katowice and Riga, meeting the highest international standards for safety and playability. The athletes experienced the same uncompromising ball bounce, grip and durability expected of a professional basketball surface.

The story of EuroBasket 2025 concluded in Riga, where Germany claimed the championship after a thrilling 88–83 victory over Turkey. Greece secured the bronze medal in a close contest against Finland, and Dennis Schröder was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Alongside him, Franz Wagner, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alperen Şengün and Luka Dončić formed the All-Tournament Team, underscoring the world-class level of competition.

For Junckers, the project demonstrated that a basketball floor could be far more than a functional surface. At EuroBasket 2025, it became part of the stage itself — a canvas for identity, atmosphere and storytelling.

The successful introduction of the printed floor system set a new benchmark for future tournaments, where design and performance now walk hand in hand.
