ICONIC NEW BUILDING FOR AARHUS SEAFRONT

AARhus is the name of the iconic building in the Aarhus Ø district. Star architect firm Bjarke Ingels Group's (BIG) has given their take on how to incorporate the whole of Aarhus soul and its architectural qualities into one project. The DNA of the project is thus the townhouses in Øgaderne and Frederiksbjerg's blocks combined with inspiration from the city's towers and the small cozy streets, squares, cafes and restaurants in the Latin Quarter.

In this building, Junckers has delivered solid plank floors for 20 large owner-occupied homes from 100 and 250 m2. The buyers wanted to opt for a Danish designed and produced plank floor in extra-wide design, which could match the large floor surfaces and form a beautiful contrast to the modern and austere architecture. The choice fell on Junckers Oak Boulevard in 185 mm width and a thickness of 20.5 mm. The floors are delivered with either clear Ultramat Lacquer or Nordic White Ultramat Varnish.
