Beech – a light, durable wooden floor making a comeback in modern homes
A beech hardwood floor is a true classic. Its history dates back to the 1930s, when it became a staple in Danish homes, admired for its timeless look and lasting quality. Today, beech is experiencing a renaissance, as homeowners once again embrace its understated elegance.
In Denmark, we have an almost national fondness for design classics, and our interiors increasingly feature beautiful retro-inspired details.
Why choose beech as flooring?
Beech stands out among light wood species for its ability to develop a warm, reddish glow over time. Combined with its excellent strength and durability, it makes for a parquet floor that unites natural beauty with long-lasting performance.
This grade has a rustic look with substantial colour and structural graining variation between the individual staves. Several small and large knots and natural fine splits occur. Knots and other irregularities are to the greatest extent possible factory filled with a one colour filler.
