Beech – a light, durable wooden floor making a comeback in modern homes
A beech hardwood floor is a true classic. Its history dates back to the 1930s, when it became a staple in Danish homes, admired for its timeless look and lasting quality. Today, beech is experiencing a renaissance, as homeowners once again embrace its understated elegance.
In Denmark, we have an almost national fondness for design classics, and our interiors increasingly feature beautiful retro-inspired details.
Why choose beech as flooring?
Beech stands out among light wood species for its ability to develop a warm, reddish glow over time. Combined with its excellent strength and durability, it makes for a parquet floor that unites natural beauty with long-lasting performance.
This product is a combination of several wood grades and therefore has a rustic appearance with pronounced colour and structural variation between the individual staves. A number of small and large knots as well as natural fine cracks may occur. Knots, cracks and small holes are, as far as possible, filled at the factory using colour-matched filler. Unfilled areas are permitted up to a maximum of 1 piece per m², each no larger than 5 x 5 mm.
