In 1996 the Copenhagen based architects Arkitekturministeriet transformed a former trade union conference hall into the popular nightclub Ideal Bar.

When the bar needed a renovation in 2011, Junckers was part of the creative process from the beginning and has supplied the solid hardwood floor and gold panel for the bar at the bottom of Folkets Hus (The People's House)

The logo of Ideal Bar appears on the beautiful wall of gold-coloured planks. The rest of the room is dominated by the dark 2 strip wooden flooring in Black Oak, penetrated by light triangles on the many mobile elements which can be converted from a scene to cinema sofas to cocktail tables etc.

The floor in Ideal Bar must be able to stand up to very hard wear and work within the demands posed by the building’s history. The choice fell on Junckers’ solid 2 strip floor in Black Oak, Ultra Matt lacquer – a floor that creates a feeling of authenticity and quality with its dark shades of colour.
